El Inti Raymi es un rito inca en honor del Sol. Coincide con el solsticio de invierno. El rito se representa en Cuzco el 24 de junio y participan miles de cuzqueños y turistas. El Inca, hijo del Sol, preside la ceremonia.

Primero, el Inca invoca al Sol en el templo de Qorikancha, y en la Plaza de Armas comienza un colorido desfile. La representación continúa en Sacsayhuaman a 1 km de la ciudad de Cuzco. Allí, el Inca ofrece un vaso de chicha al Sol y los actores representan varios ritos tradicionales. Hay bailes y cantos durante todo el día.
