Learning Spanish becomes an authentic cultural experience as students travel with Sarah and David to eight Spanish-speaking countries. Students learn new Spanish vocabulary and expressions as the characters meet new families in Bolivia, perform school activities in El Salvador, and discover new inventions in Mexico. Students will also learn grade-level appropriate Spanish grammar and concepts, which they apply throughout the book. At the end of each unit, students create a postcard in which they display their creativity and newly acquired skills and vocabulary. Students have a wealth of resources to reference at the end of the Spanish textbook: Maps of the Americas and the Iberian Peninsula, a Spanish dictionary in the form of an illustrated glossary, including basic expressions in Spanish and a list of cognates.
