- Position title: Educational Sales Representative Location: South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee
Overall Responsibilities:
The Educational Sales Representative is responsible for all sales and marketing operations in the assigned territory, and for achieving established sales objectives. He or she will:
- Adequately and effectively represent company product to customers
- Identify, track, strategize and close sales opportunities in the assigned territory.
- Prepare periodic reports listing and identifying potential sales.
- Gather data related to market size, potential and opportunities
in the territory
- Plan and implement strategic promotional events and book exhibits.
- Participate in local, regional and national conferences and trade shows as necessary
- Formally present Santillana USA product to individuals and groups when necessary and appropriate.
- Produce local marketing pieces and develop strategic local marketing plans relevant to the assigned territory.
- Utilize Sales Force for all accounts
Ideal Candidate will Possess:
- Bachelor's degree (Required)
- Territory/outside sales experience (Required)
- Classroom teaching experience
- English-Spanish fluency (Required)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective time management skills
- Strong presentation/communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to travel overnight
- Motivation, initiative, ability to work independently
- Enthusiastic attitude
- Sales Force (CRM) Proficiency

- Assistant Editor required:
Functions:
- Support the daily functions of the Spanish as a Foreign Language Department
- Collaborate in the administrative tasks that pertain to the department: maintain databases, update files, manage contracts and rights, etc.
- Participate in the management of authors and collaborators in the US.
- Evaluate and manage externally-produced materials.
- Create proposals as well as fundamental and complementary materials.
- Collaborate in the continuum of the editorial process in all of its phases.
- Develop skills and participate in editorial processes and the different editorial phases of the project: creation and evaluation of originals, design and layout, correction of proofs, photo selection, etc.
This position requires living or relocating to the Miami area, no relocation package available.
Background/Skills Required:
The Assistant Editor must have experience in editing. Candidates should have a background in linguistics or Spanish language and should be fluent in English and Spanish. The Assistant Editor must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Candidates should demonstrate excellent organizational skills, a positive and collaborative attitude, and be familiar with common technological tools such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Internet applications, email, etc. Experience in education is a plus.
