AZ STRUCTURED ENGLISH IMMERSION FUNDING

Offers school districts a one-time chance to purchase ELD materials designed to boost ELL performance. AZ Structured English Immersion Funding awarded monies on a one-time basis to provide structured English immersion specifically for English learners in K-12.

The funds will be used to purchase supplemental materials designed to help English learners reach grade-level proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. All materials must be in English and aligned to the Arizona K-12 English Language Proficiency Standards and the Discrete Skills Inventory.

Each school that qualifies can submit a Structured English Immersion Model Budget Request Form Part A, “Model Required Incremental Costs” to the Arizona Department of Education (ADE), Office of English Language Acquisition Services (OELAS).
